Well done to The Will Hay Appreciation Society for achieving their long-time ambition to install a plaque to Moore Marriott in Rose Green Road recently.
Moore Marriott appeared in over 300 silent and talkie movies, before retiring to Rose Green to run a greengrocers in 1946, where he died in 1949. This is an excellent video of the unveiling, clips of his films and a discussion about his achievement and legacy.
